October 2022 has seen some of Aberdeenshire’s top chefs take part in a cook-off as part of the
North East of Scotland Chef Awards organised by Hospitality in Training – Scotland’s only industry-specific Group Training Association.

Young Chef of the Year – Ross Boyd
His menu consisted of:
Roast Diver Caught Scallop, Cauliflower Salad, Cauliflower puree and Bacon Jam
Venison Loin, Butternut Squash, chestnut, Parsley root, Beetroot, Pear, Green Peppercorns and Madeira Sauce
Valrhona Man jari 64% Dark Chocolate Delice, Cherry’s, Cherry Gel, Chocolate soil, Vanilla Ice Cream
